Our institution was incorporated with the desire to help. To help those who need our love and support. To help children. Boarding school in urban village of Stryzhavka in Vinnytsia region is not just a social institution, but a home where children with diagnoses of mental and psycological development live and adapt to the world around them, study and communicate in a friendly environment and appropriate conditions.
As the years go by, the children grow up. Although almost all of the boarders can be taught with the help and support of caring people. These people meet them in the orphanage, where they care for and teach young people to know themselves. When the children reach the age of maturity, the next step for them is orphanage for adults. At this stage, children break, miss their first home, where they felt loved, and found their first friends among educators and teachers.
We decided to take a new path, namely to create a youth department, where students develop, show and realize their strengths, abilities and preferences. They feel needed and useful when receiving feasible work assignments at the farm or bakery, cleaning the territory and caring for the garden. They like to be busy, and everyone’s smile is the best proof of that.
Girls love needlework: they embroider beads and threads, knit wonderful products. After the presentation of their works at the exhibition for people with special needs, "Believe in yourself" participants even received well-deserved diplomas. Boys on the other hand, like to help in everyday life and go in for sports. They can be proud of their achievements and prizes. There are many state and international football tournaments, as well as special competitions for people with disabilities.
We can talk about our talented students for hours, but
right now our center is in a difficult situation. russia's invasion of Ukraine and the terrible
word "war" have changed our lives. First of all, we are trying to save our home for special
needs people. In a situation where children are facing new realities, they need your help. The
threat of power failure makes us look for a power generator. When we obtain it, the system of
food, heat, as well as hygienic and medical procedures will continue to function.
We turn to caring people who have the opportunity to help boarding school. We will be grateful to
everyone who will join the fundraiser. Your support will be a valuable contribution to the
future of Ukraine - its children.
